Fourth generation shoemakersThe first generation of shoemakers with the Stultiens name dates back to 1859. Sjang Stultiens started with a shoemaker's shop in the Verlengde Beekstraat in Weert and subsequently in the Nazerethsteeg.
Around 1930 his son Frans had a shoemaker's shop on the Suffolkweg and later on the Basin, where he also started a shoe shop in addition to the shoemaker's shop. Jan, the son of Frans, born in 1934, continued the tradition and he also had a shoemaker's shop with a shoe shop in the Verlengde Beekstraat. |
Founder Federico, fourth generation, started in 1986 in his parents' garage. He was then 17 years old and the youngest entrepreneur in the industry. 2 years later he moved to the shopping center of the Limburg Laan and 10 years later he started in the Beekstraat.
The passion for the profession was already there at a young age, because as a twelve-year-old boy he could regularly be found with his father in the shoemaker's shop. This year (2025) they celebrate the 39th anniversary of the company.
